Tesco Diet Plan 2011

Tesco Diets Review 2011

The two biggest times of the year for the diet industry are just after the new year and the start of spring.

New year resolutions are often centred around some kind of self improvement – stopping smoking and losing weight are the two most popular.

The weight loss industry loves the new year – it is estimated that the average person in the UK looking to diet will try 3 to 4 diets or diet products before they find a product that works for them. In some cases it could mean a whole wasted year.

One of most successful diet programmes over the last few years is Tesco Diets (formally Tesco eDiets)

Tesco Diets is an easy to follow diet plan that will not break the bank. Weekly costs are around £1.50 to £2.50 which compared to some of the highly convoluted and unnecessarily expensive diet programs that have emerged from the United States is an absolute no brain-er.

If you absolutely lost and do not know which diet plan to follow give Tesco Diets serious consideration.

The Dukan Diet

The Dukan Diet Review

The Dukan Diet has been gaining a lot of publicity recently in the UK.

It is the brainchild of French nutritionist Pierre Dukan and is based on a very strict diet regime that promotes the ideology of taking on more protein while cutting back drastically on carbs and fats.

The Dukan Diet and The Atkins Diet are not million miles apart and are similar in so much both are based on principle of making the body attack its own fat reserves.

How Does The Dukan Diet Work

There are a number of phases in the Dukan Diet that need to be followed.

Phase 1: This is the  the Attack phase. You eat low-fat protein only food and drink a lot of liquid (ideally water but coffee, tea and diet sodas are acceptable too but they have to be zero calories and zero fat).

Phase 2: This is the cruise phase. You have  several days of relatively little sustenance but protein alternated with days of nothing but protein and vegetables. Salad is included as well as vegetables.

Phase 3: Also known as the consolidation phase, this phase starts once you reach your ideal weight. In this phase you are unlikely lose any weight here – you just maintain your newly achieved target weight. The consolidation phase adds a little fruit, bread and cheese to the mix, as well as one “celebration meal” per week.

Phase 4: This phase just loops to back to phases 1-3. It says, “Go back to eating whatever you like, but continue to use the basic rules of the Consolidation Phase as a safety platform (eat unlimited protein and vegetables, one piece of fruit a day, two slices of wholemeal bread, a portion of cheese, two starchy foods and two celebration meals a week).

Where To Buy Dukan Diet In United Kingdom

The Dukan Diet will soon be available to buy from the UK – It is a French oriented product and will be available in book form shortly.

Is The Dukan Diet Recommended

A little bit convoluted and can be quite hard to follow.

Alternatives To The Dukan Diet

The Tesco Diet is a UK formulated Diet Programme that appeals to a UK dieter.

There is a large community by way of a members area (forum).

Tesco Diets Is possibly the ony UK based diet program that can seriously rival WeightWatchers and at a fraction of the cost.
