Spices That Burn Fat
Recent studies have identified a definite link between spices and preventing retaining too much body fat.
The Penn State University have published their findings that brings together a connection between using spices such as paprika, cayenne pepper and turmeric and stopping the build up of excess body fat.
The modern 21st century diet contains a high level of fat and carbohydrates. Although these food groups are essential as they give us the energy needed to function, taking on too much (fat and carbohydrates) can lead to an excess that the body does not need immediately and so stores for later use.
This excess fat reserve is converted into triglycerides that is a type of fat found in blood cells and is usually stored in the midriff, hips and buttocks and can lead to heart disease and in some cases Type 2 Diabetes.
Adding a liberal sprinkling of spice to our meal on a regular basis can help prevent the formation of triglycerides by around 30%.
Perhaps the most noteworthy spice that has been studies the most in recent years is cayenne pepper – also known as capsicum extract and red hot chili pepper.
Cayenne pepper can not only prevent the mobilisation and storage of fat but also reduce appetite and increase the metabolic rate.
If you are continually putting off your diet plans then maybe today is the day is to spice up your life.
